Tide helps disaster victims with free laundry services

It seems fair to say that laundry is one of the great levelers in this life, which might explain why we've seen pop-up laundry services on so many occasions already. There are the brand butlers that offer laundry service at festivals, and there's the Method truck to facilitate the donation of clean clothes, but it wasn't until recently that we noticed Tide's Loads of Hope program.

Inspired by the Hurricane Katrina disaster five years ago, Tide Loads of Hope is a mobile laundry service that provides clean clothes to families affected by disaster. Through a partnership with Feeding America and Frigidaire, the program has since washed more than 36,000 loads of laundry for some 27,000 families in many other disaster-struck communities as well, including those affected by the recent floods in Middle Tennessee and Pike County, Ky. One truck and a fleet of vans house 32 energy-efficient Frigidaire washers and dryers capable of cleaning more than 300 loads of laundry every day—staffers do it all for free, including folding the clothes afterward.

Procter & Gamble's Tide detergent brand also runs a program through which it will donate USD 1 for every bottle of “Yellow Cap Tide” consumers purchase and register online. All profits from sales of its USD 20 Tide Vintage T-shirt, meanwhile, go toward helping disaster victims as well. Remember the excitement you felt receiving mail as a child? That's the inspiration behind San Francisco-based Little Passports, a new educational subscription service that aims to turn 5-to-10-year-olds into world travellers, one country at a time. Little Passports delivers monthly travel packages designed to provide a fun, hands-on way for kids to learn about other countries without leaving home. setelah 5 minggu memaksa diriku membaca buku2 untuk ujian...akhirnya lewat juga waktu itu.Nah, sebagai gantinya, abis dari ujian, NONTON!film ini nih yg g tonton:

BICENTENNIAL MAN. alias manusia berumur 200 tahun. ceritanya, manusia berumur 200 tahun ini pada awalnya bukan manusia. Dia adalah robot. you know, mesin. Robot untuk membantu pekerjaan rumah (home appliance). Namanya Andrew Martin.spesialnya adalah robot ini berkepribadian. Andrew bisa membuat karya seni, bisa sedih, senang, dsb.seperti layaknya manusia.Andrew pengen menjadi manusia.(mungkinkah itu?).Andrew berjuang supaya diakui sebagai manusia.

Dalam salah satu adegan, ada satu kalimat Andrew yang membuatku agak terhentak.kira-kira bunyinya seperti ini,"Saya ingin hidup dan mati sebagai manusia, dengan harkat (dignity)seorang manusia."

dan saya merenungkan..

wow..robot kepengen jadi manusia!
seharusnya saya, manusia ini, sangat tersanjung & bangga dengan statusku.
tat we are designed for dignity.
He made us with HIS image.

Robot ini begitu pengen punya dignity seorang manusia.
sedangakan kita-kita, manusia ini, kadang malah ga sadar kalo kita ini manusia. malah kepengen diatur kayak robot.

Robot ini menuntut kebebasan.
sedangkan kita yang uda bebas ini malah pengen terus mengikatkan diri dalm belenggu dosa. seperti andrew yang selalu siap melayani tuannya. kita selalu siap melayani dosa, nafsu dan keinginan kita.

Robot ini ga bisa menerima kodratnya sebagai robot.terus mencoba, berjuang untuk menjadi manusia. Dia mau bisa mati.Dia ga mau hidup 'kekal' senagai robot.
Tetapi kita, begitu bodohnya malah pengen umur panjang. tidak bisa menerima kodrat kita sebagai manusia yang bisa mati.

apakah kita kenal kodrat kita?
Bahwa kita adalah manusia berdosa. kita seharusnya mati karna dosa-dosa kita.

apakah kita bisa menerima kodrat kita yang baru?
Bahwa kita sudah ditebus dengan darah yang mahal. Kita adalah ciptaan baru, anak-ank merdeka. kita ga seharusnya terus-terusan hidup dalam perbudakan dosa.

jadi kenapa masi enak di dalam lumpur dosa??

that there are types of clouds?

High-Level Clouds
High-level clouds form above 20,000 feet (6,000 meters) and since the temperatures are so cold at such high elevations, these clouds are primarily composed of ice crystals. High-level clouds are typically thin and white in appearance, but can appear in a magnificent array of colors when the sun is low on the horizon.

Mid Level Clouds

The bases of mid-level clouds typically appear between 6,500 to 20,000 feet (2,000 to 6,000 meters). Because of their lower altitudes, they are composed primarily of water droplets, however, they can also be composed of ice crystals when temperatures are cold enough

Low-level Clouds

Low clouds are of mostly composed of water droplets since their bases generally lie below 6,500 feet (2,000 meters). However, when temperatures are cold enough, these clouds may also contain ice particles and snow.

Vertically Developed Clouds
Probably the most familiar of the classified clouds is the cumulus cloud. Generated most commonly through either thermal convection or frontal lifting, these clouds can grow to heights in excess of 39,000 feet (12,000 meters), releasing incredible amounts of energy through the condensation of water vapor within the cloud itself.
